This is a demonstration of the mentoring course provided for Japanese to English patent translation that can be purchased as a course spanning six months or one year (or 6 assignments/12 assignments). This course is mentored by a qualified US Patent Agent. The student translates patent passages that they select themselves from the translation assignment library and submits them to the mentor at any time. The mentor then provides feedback on the translation. Questions can also be asked when translating by either using the forum below (which is recommended as many students may have the same questions) or by contacting the mentor directly using the button on the right-hand side.
The "mentoring one-on-one" option enables the student to consult the mentor directly over the horsefrog online presentation system for up to a maximum of two hours for the six-month course or up to a maximum of four hours for the one year course. The consultations can be recorded so that the student can then refer to them again later. Translations completed as part of the course can be moved directly to your portfolio.
We feel that this mixture of online courses and one-on-one mentoring enables the students to study in the most efficient and rewarding manner. Similar mentoring systems are also coming soon for both business and legal translation.

Should you decide to translate the entire document, you will be supplied with feedback for the document as a whole with regards to consistency.
