This course introduces the subject of Japanese to English claim translation. The course is split into two lessons, followed by a quiz. The first lesson entitled "An Introduction to Claim Translation" deals with claim structures and teaches how to recognize claim structures and translate these structures correctly. The second lesson entitled "Claims: Advanced" describes claim formats and multiple dependence. A detailed syllabus in can be downloaded from the folder "syllabusses" provided on the left hand side of the front page. The course concludes with a number of translations to be carried out by the student that will then be reviewed by your course tutor. You are free to ask questions to your course tutor at any time during the course.
Fee: 15,000 Yen (six months access) (Note: This amount is deducted from the registration fee if "An Introduction to J-E Patent Translation" is enrolled in at a later date).
